Xenmint and Linell Designs are now working together, producing dye-sublimated prints of artwork onto ceramics. Perhaps we will call them Linmint Ceramics 😉
Mostly they are based on artist Liz Linell’s work with alcoholic inks, that are transferred to a range of materials via a Xenmint photograph, printed on transfer paper, and heat-pressed to seal the design. You can find more of her work at www.linelldesigns.com . So, coasters, placemats, tablemats, mugs, tote-bags to begin with; and T-shirts to follow. I’m adding a new gallery to the website to show off these stunning designs – and Xenmint photos will also be available, sublimated!
Watch out for our work being for sale soon on Etsy…
In addition, having experimented with a number of techniques, we are working together on surface-coating artwork with clear resin: and they look just fantastic! The glassy-coating lifts the colours, whilst protecting the underlying print. It’s a new addition to the acrylic/aluminium/canvas/framed photo-paper artwork we have used previously (and will continue to do so) – and we’re very excited with the results.
