The Botanical Gardens in Sheffield are the venue for the largest open air Art Festival in the North of the U.K. It is a much loved event, and we had success with a stall last year.
This year Xenmint Photography exhibited in the Open Art Exhibition, and won not just best Photography entry, but also Judges Choice as Best in Show! Wow!
‘Saracen’, as a large canvas print, had won the photography prize last year, so it was a surprise and a delight to win again with ‘Earth Wave’, exhibited as a 100 x 80 cm acrylic print. To also have this entry voted Best in Show was a complete thrill.
‘Church on the Hill’ and ‘Adam and Eve’ were also exhibited as 75 x 55cm aluminium prints, mounted on black acrylic frames. They all attracted a great deal of interest and praise, which was very nice to hear.
It was wonderful to meet up with old friends, perhaps we’ll have a stall again next year!
